-Question, what is a C.L.U.E. report?

C.L.U.E. stand for Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange which all insurance companies report to. This is where they pick up any losses, whether paid of unpaid show up. So if you are changing insurance companies and say “I’ve had no losses” and 2 show up, they may not wish to have you as a client because you lied on the application. We insure a 12 unit building where the new client said “I’ve had no losses with State Farm”, when 5 showed up! all 5 showed $0 paid and in his defense the SF agent said, “Call the 1-800 claims department”. Know what happens when you call a claims department? Goes on your CLUE report! Luckily, we have underwriters who can understand this stuff!
